The Messi Collector is an independent research project created by a passionate collector of Lionel Messi cards. It grew out of years spent studying the Panini Megacracks issues of 2004 through 2021 — the cards that document Messi's entire Barcelona era — and out of a conviction that what is known about them should be preserved carefully and shared freely.

Biography placeholder

A personal biography will be written here by the collector. Until then, this page deliberately makes no claims about credentials, professional affiliations, or collecting achievements.

What can be said now is what the project stands for: historical accuracy over rumour, rarity research grounded in verifiable checklists, PSA population analysis published only from verified data, and the long-term preservation of knowledge about these cards for the collectors who come after.

Research pursuits

Historical accuracy

Every catalogued card is cross-checked against published checklists; unverified entries are labelled, never presented as fact.

Rarity research

Documenting which cards, subsets, and variations survive — and in what numbers — is the archive's central question.

PSA population analysis

Population figures are reported only from verified PSA data, never estimated.

Knowledge preservation

Collector observations, production details, and market history are recorded so they are not lost.
